Our Guided Training

Trainees will learn how to sequence their own classes utilizing a creative combination of these elements, at their own pace.

Although no one is expected to teach yoga post-graduation, we do create space for practice teaching so that the material becomes ingrained in each trainee.  We will experience many different styles including Yin, Restorative and Trauma Informed Yoga, as well as the ancient tradition of Ayurveda. You'll feel effortlessly guided through postures and transitions, and gain plenty of experience in sequencing a gentle yoga (slow pace),  Hatha Flow (medium pace), and Vinyasa Flow (faster pace) classes.

Whether you intend to teach upon the conclusion of the program or you're taking it for personal development, rest assured you will feel confident with sequencing and teaching many different ability levels! By the end of the training, you will have first-hand experience teaching a full yoga class! This is the BEST way to culminate your training! The skills and wisdom you'll gain will empower you to create positive change in your life, no matter where your path takes you.

Our robust 300+ page Yoga Hive 200-Hour Teacher Training program manual, a complementary membership for live-stream, on-demand and our in-studio mat and aerial classes during the program, and more will accompany your program registration!

This program is a 6-weekend program + weekly check-ins, held In-Person! If you need to miss a few days/times due to this thing called life, please reach out! Sometimes, catching up is as simple as watching our training recordings! If absence is not excessive, we can usually accommodate you with make-up options!

With 180 contact hours and 20 hours of different yoga modalities classes taken over the course of the training, we will guide your experience through a wide scope of yoga history, practices, practical application in your personal practice as well as a strong emphasis on leading strong, safe and brilliant yoga classes. Our focused emphasis on meditation, energetic practices and ayurvedic practices will fully prepare you to create and guide all types of yoga sequences with an air of deeper understanding. Beyond the scope of the required Yoga Alliance curriculum, we will delve into a wide array of yogic topics such as those listed below.

•  Asana (yogic pose) breakdowns

• Initiation into the Ancient Sattva Yoga Meditation Technique (from the Kriya Yoga lineage of Babaji)
• 25+ Himalayan Kriya Kundalini practices (only taught in a few other YTT programs in the USA!)
• Class Sequencing, Cueing & Breathwork
• Contraindications and variations, including prop usage

'Mountain Song Yoga School is not any yoga training, it is the real deal. Shelle and her dynamic team curate a combination of detailed breakdowns of each posture, anatomy, philosophy, mudras (hand holds), pranayama and mantras. Each class was filled with deep knowledge, from meditation, Kriya, Kundalini, Energy Medicine yoga, hatha, Vinyasa, Himalayan Hatha, Yin and Restorative Yoga.

Easy step by step guidance on sequencing, cueing, understanding the intentions of each posture and variations. I learned confidently how to prepare and plan for a meaningful yoga class taught from a place of authenticity. Utilizing a wide range of knowledge gained from my training here, I could step into the seat of the teacher in many different style classes.

Meet Your Guide, Shelle Kuntz

Practicing yoga for more than 20 years, Shelle Kuntz is a living testament that yoga has the power to keep you centered and nourished despite all the ups and downs that life may throw at you.

Passionate about the unlimited benefits and potential of yoga, Shelle believes that yoga and its teachings are a blessing for us all and she is eager to share her love and knowledge with you. Shelle is an E-RYT 500 through Yoga Hive Montana  and Sattva Yoga Academy in Rishikesh, India with certification in Energy Medicine Yoga, Himalayan Kriya Kundalini, SUP Yoga, and Yoga for Pregnancy.   

Known for her unbridled positivity and unique ability to spread love and light into any situation, Shelle’s classes offer mindfulness, breath work, and a thoughtful flow of movement sprinkled with wisdom and joy.  She views the spirituality and science of yoga as an avenue for each of us to find our true selves, increase our awareness about the world around us, and elevate our consciousness.  Rest assured you will her leave her classes feeling positive, refreshed, and ready for whatever lies ahead. Having the opportunity to travel the world over, Shelle has a deep
