What is sadhana?

The Sanskrit word, Sadhana, can be translated to "tuning." Ideally, we want to live our lives "in tune" with the world around us, yes?

Of course! But... with all our commitments to family, friends, work, etc., it can be difficult to carve out the time to commit to the only person we have total control over in our lives... ourselves.

Without access to wisdom, ways to apply that wisdom in our daily life, and the dedication to commit to applying it (whew!), we exist in disharmony with our environment. We're out of tune. Out of touch. Life is burdensome instead of blissful.

Then, as if by magic, when we finally get the courage to take on a practice — or sadhana — our commitment to our spiritual growth transforms our entire commitment to life itself. We tune in.

And hello! We'd much rather live BLISS than BURDEN, yes?

Every month, we (Mollie and Blaine) will provide a daily sadhana to all members of Soulful Sadhana, that centers around the theme. The practice will be a 10-30 minute practice that we'll all commit to practicing daily for that month. You'll have a community to support you along the way. Yes, seriously. YOU CAN DO THIS. We'll be doing it with you!

And, it's imperative not to add this to your to-do list... it's a commitment to your own evolution as a human, and as a yogi! It's the opposite of a "to do list item." It's a commitment to becoming a brighter version of yourself, every day!

Each month, the sadhana may include breathwork, mantra (chanting), kriya (dynamic breathwork), Energy Medicine practices, asana (movement), journaling, meditation, and/or other yogic practices. We'll break down each step so you're prepared to practice on your own — with the support of your peers also in the course. You don't need to know anything about yoga or Sanskrit to join this course... just a willingness to learn about yourself and try something new with a like-minded crew of spiritual seekers!

What should I expect?

Each month, during the week of the new moon, Blaine and Mollie will host a 2-hour live virtual program that includes a 30-minute practice and a 90-minute lesson — focused on a new concept within the sphere of their extensive yogic studies. You can expect yoga philosophy that they don't currently teach in any other setting, kriya, breathwork, meditation, mantra and Energy Medicine, alongside wisdom they've garnered through their life experiences and professional careers. 

Then, after we've all learned the sadhana, we willl stay connected through an online community platform. We will NOT be using Facebook for this, so you can expect a completely private platform that is only for our Soulful Sadhana group, without advertisement or social media interruption. 

Think of it like a monthly workshop with daily practices that goes deep and provides more opportunity for connection with ​others sincere seekers, like yourself.

We start together on the New Moon, we practice together daily using the same recordings throughout the month, we connect with one another online via a private membership group, and we finish together by starting a new cycle with the next New Moon. ​

Monthly Topics

The Divine Feminine and the Cosmic Womb // January 11th, 7-9pm CST (Monday)
We're kicking things off by going deep into one of the most powerful concepts in our yogic lineage: The divine feminine. And this program is not just for yogis identifying as women — the divine feminine exists within each and every one of us. When we tap into the source of creativity within ourselves, our desires refine and nature starts singing its song through our words, actions and our life. Our daily sadhana will focus on tapping into this limitless wellspring of creativity.


​Heart Resonance and the Science of Vibration  // February 8th, 7-9pm CST (Monday)
It's time to dive into the science of vibration! This month, you'll learn what the morphic field is and how it works... and how you can best work with it. Our sadhana will focus on 
​
using our 5th chakra through mantra — vibrating our voice, Energy Medicine techniques to tap into the morphic field, and other methods for raising our vibration. 

Divine abundance and Sri Yantra // March 15th, 7-9pm CST (Monday)
Yantras are powerful diagrams that represent the ancient Sanskrit mantras we use in our tradition. The Sri Yantra is connected with the highest form of the divine feminine within each of us, and working with this sacred diagram and mantra have been used for thousands of years to bring abundance and prosperity to anyone who uses it. We will explore abundance and manifestation in many forms, and our practice will focus on amplifying these qualities within us.

FAQ's

Will each meeting be recorded?
Yes! We'll post the audio and the video versions of our Zoom calls + the pre-recorded practices to the Facebook page and to a Google Drive folder for everyone to access. You can download these files and keep them forever.

How much time do I need to commit to this?
10-30 minutes daily, plus our monthly 2-hour session will suffice. Don't think about adding this to your growing to-do list for 2021. Think about it like professional development, self care, healthy habits — it's all of the above, and more.

What if I can't practice every day?
This is completely up to you — and for you to decide. We recommend not pigeon-holing yourself before it starts, but rather: If you're called to take the course, and you're curious, try it for a month. We don't breathe down your neck to complete the course and practices — this is self-paced with the support of a group. Whatever effort you put in, we expect you will get more effortlessness in your life, in return.

If I'm Christian/Buddhist/Agnostic/Hindi (insert any other affiliation), can I still participate in this course?
Absolutely. This yogic course is taught in the way that we were taught yoga — from a non-dogmatic perspective. You can be whoever you are, and believe in what you believe, and have whatever affiliation you have (or don't have!), and still experience incredible transformation from these teachings! 

What if I don't have Facebook?
We get this question a lot. We are working to find an online platform that has the functionality we seek, that right now (fortunately and unfortunately) only Facebook has. Until then, we use a private Facebook group for programs like this. Many folks who don't use Facebook open an account using their name just for this program, don't "friend" anyone else in their life (keeping their profile private), and only use Facebook for accessing the conversation of this group! That way your newsfeed is filled with life-affirming stories and conversation from Soulful Sadhana... sounds like a feed we'd all dream of!

Meet Your Instructors

Mollie Busby

Mollie Busby is a driven entrepreneur with the spirit of a summer camp counselor and a kind, midwestern smile. Mollie is a seasoned yoga and meditation teacher and off-grid home builder with her husband, Sean. Although the pair now calls Alaska their home, they have deep roots in the Flathead Valley, and Mollie commutes back to Montana and Wisconsin to manage her two yoga studios.

Wherever they are, the Busbys choose to live close to the land off-the-grid and pursue their life’s work. The pair started Riding On Insulin, which Mollie ran as Executive Director for 7 years, until Sean took over in 2017. It was then that Mollie shifted much of her focus to Yoga Hive, and now, to Yoga Hive Studios, taking the brand beyond Montana. Yoga Hive is known for its inviting vibe, friendly instructors, and willingness to show anyone that yoga is for everybody and every body. ​

Regardless of the method, Mollie sees her purpose on this planet as cultivating community in small groups of women — whether in a yoga retreat setting in the mountains or Alaska or Montana, or during the Yoga Teacher Trainings she runs in Montana, Colorado,

Wisconsin and beyond. She enjoys spending time outdoors skiing in the winter, hiking in the summer, and playing with their pack of sled dogs all year round: Glacier, Milo, Powder, Coldfoot, Insley and Tundra.

She and Sean have built a dynamic off-the-grid homestead in the heart of Whitefish, Montana, that’s been featured on HGTV, the DIY Network,  Discovery Channel, Yahoo News, Daily Mail, and more. They've also built off-grid homesteads in Homer, Alaska and most recently, their wilderness lodge and retreat center, 63 miles above the arctic circle, nestled in the Alaskan bush of the Brooks Range, 
Arctic Hive. 

Hailing originally from Wisconsin, Mollie brings to Montana her warm, midwestern hospitality mixed with a wide range of yoga training. Her teaching draws inspiration from the Baptiste Yoga community, Energy Medicine Yoga and a mix of Tantric Kriya and mantra-based meditation from Sattva Yoga Academy at the foothills of the Himalayas in India.


​This unique mix gives her classes a magical feel, with a love for teaching the basics to anyone willing to learn, layered with a profound gift of teaching for transformation.

​Blaine Wilkes

Blaine started her wellness journey when she became a certified group exercise instructor and personal trainer in 1991.  Over the next two and a half decades she immersed herself in a healthcare career while teaching others to live active, healthy lifestyles and competing in running races and triathlons including 30+ marathons and 4 Ironman triathlons. Blaine also became a certified holistic health coach in 2012.  After significant soul searching and meditation, Blaine decided to leave the corporate world and create a space where her community can gather to work on physical, mental and emotional growth in a safe, fun and supportive environment. Blaine opened Yoga Hive Colorado in 2017.

In addition to a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Hatha Yoga, Blaine is a Master Energy Medicine Yoga Teacher, studying directly under Energy Medicine Yoga Founder, Lauren Walker and has completed a 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Energy Medicine Yoga.  Blaine has also completed a 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Meditation and Kriya in Rishikesh, India.  Blaine is currently studying Eden Energy Medicine as created by Donna Eden.


A vegetarian since age 12 and vegan since 2009, Blaine works with individuals and families to transition to a plant-based and more compassionate lifestyle.  Blaine leads yoga and vegan retreats and is the leader of the Boulder Chapter of Vegan Ladyboss.​

About Yoga Hive Studios

Yoga Hive Studios was created by Mollie Busby — an entrepreneur in Whitefish, Montana. She founded Yoga Hive Montana, and through a series of serendipitous events, met fitness entrepreneur, Blaine Wilkes, who went on to open the first Yoga Hive studio outside Montana in Louisville, Colorado. Mollie opened Yoga Hive Wisconsin in January 2020. We look forward to continuing to spread the YH love around the world!
