Himalayan Gentle Flow
Himalayan Gentle Yoga is a Hatha-based class for all levels. If you are new to yoga, you may find this class particularly welcoming. This will be a mild flow, moving at a pace that allows everyone to follow easily. There will also be modifications for anyone that is challenged by a particular pose. If you are nervous about trying yoga or getting back into the practice, this class will be perfect for you. Additionally, if you prefer a softer, mindfully paced class, Gentle Flow will be a perfect addition to your weekly routine. Expect to practice transformative Kriya breathwork, brought directly from the Himalayas in India.
Strength & Balance
Strength, balance and flexibility.
This class is designed for active seniors and modified for all abilities. All ages are welcome. Everyone will find encouragement and support. We'll share exercises to strengthen core muscles, enhance posture, flexibility and movement and practice balane activities to improve stability and reduce your risk of falls.
No prior yoga experience with yoga is necessary. Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. We'll provide all the props needed for class.
After a long weekend on the slopes, on the trails, or perhaps a particularly stressful time at work, head over to Yoga Hive for this extremely relaxing class. Not focused on breaking a sweat, but rather stretching and lengthening the body, providing release for the body and mind. This class has been created and built to lead your body into a deep state of relaxation through the use of supportive props throughout class. There are typically only 5-6 poses in a Restorative Yoga class and each pose is held for 5-10 minutes, switching sides of the body when needed. This is a perfect class for anyone desiring a deep, restful stretch with minimal movement on the mat.
Hatha Flow & Himalayan Hatha Flow
Hatha flows focus on proper alignment, conscious breathing and mindfulness. Emphasis is placed on longer held poses, flexibility, balance and concentration. The intention is to build a solid foundation for your practice, to rejuvenate the body and calm the mind. Hatha flows are great classes for those interested in basic alignment principles, strengthening postures and adapting more challenging poses for their own limitations if needed. All levels encouraged and supported!
Our Himalayan Hatha classes feature transformative Kriya breathwork, originating from the Himalayas of India, thousands of years ago! Kriyas are like yoga recipes, combining a specific grouping of poses, movements, breathwork and more for a specific purpose...they help us shift our mood and balance our nervous systems quickly and effectively.
What makes your heart come alive? What ignites the fire in your belly, giving you the knowing that you are doing exactly what you were created for?
Soulful Sunday is a class that will refuel your heart and mind at the beginning of each new week, preparing you to be your best self. You'll tap into that quiet voice in your mind that acts as your compass and replenish your own cup so that you can continue sharing the magical human you are with the world.
Vin Yin is the best of both worlds! Class begins with a vigorous Vinyasa Flow where you will work your body from head to toe and then transition into a Yin sequence to receive the benefits of deep hip opening, twists and more!
Vinyasa & Himalayan Vinyasa Flow
Vinyasa ( or Vinyasa Flow) is typically recognized as a one breath, one movement type of practice. Vinyasa will keep your body and breath moving from asana to asana, linking each movement to an inhale and an exhale. This movement with your breath assists you in tapping into that meditative state where it is just you and your breath.
This class is taught at a faster pace than our Hatha flows and is a great way to deepen your practice. Intensity levels and personal style varies by each instructor, however, modifications and variations for poses are always offered, making this a perfect class for just about anyone interested in practicing yoga.
The Himalayan Vinyasa will include the powerful Kriya breathwork, woven expertly throughout class.
Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP)
Advance Registration is Required! Must know how to swim! No experience necessary and all yoga abilities are welcome. Our focus is truly having fun on the water! Drop in participants can purchase a pass that includes class and a board, or if you're bringing a board, select just the class pass. Existing unlimited members can use their memberships for class, but if you need a board rental, you MUST purchase that separately!
Yoga on the Lake? What's better than that? Come with an open mind, a free spirit and willingness to laugh and maybe get a little wet.
'Hi Shelle!! I want to thank you for what you are doing. I am here vacationing with my family and I was able to take 2 of your classes (Sunday and Tuesday morning this week) and I want you to know how much I witness the beautiful things you are doing here!!! Yoga is so much more than a physical process and in these crazy times we've lost touch with so much of what it can be. I felt so much depth in your Sunday class, it's inspiring to know that there are people out there like you that are bringing the depth of yoga back to the practice!! Living yoga!! Yes!! I am attending Napropa University in the fall for a 2-year yoga teaching certificate program...and I aspire to bring the depth of yoga back to our communities. You are doing this and it gives me great hope!! I may never see you in person again, but I wanted you to know that I see you and the beautiful work you are doing!! Keep on shining sister!! With love and respect, Namaste Gabria!
