Why Aerial Yoga?You mean, other than because
it's completely awesome? In Aerial yoga, the silk is kept close to the ground and becomes a swing which can support the
body in many postures that are difficult on the ground. With the support of the silk, these postures can be performed more easily and with less strain on the body in mid-air. It is suggested that in addition to the emotional, physical and spiritual benefits of all yoga practice, Aerial yoga has particular benefits for strengthening and stretching the whole body, decompressing the spine, improving circulation, boosting digestion and lifting one's mood. In particular, aerial yoga strengthens the core as well as the arms and legs, while supporting the body in mid-air. |

You'll walk into our brand new, beautiful aerial yoga studio where your instructor has previously inspected each of the silks to make sure they're hanging properly! She'll greet you and help you find an appropriate silk to use, according to your height. You'll set up a mat under your silk and grab a blanket. When everyone is set, your instructor will get you started with a mix of poses in the silk and on the mat. The next 60 minutes will be relaxing, exhilarating, maybe a little sensational as you get used to how the silk works with your body...and the Savasana will be one of the best you've ever had!
